Chanel-Multicolor-Chevron-Double-Pouch

Hate it, love it, worship it or ignore it, we will still feature it. This Chanel Chevron Pouch On Pouch is a new design, never-seen-before, so we need talk about it. And whether it’s practical or not, that’s up to you to judge. Introduced for the Fall Winter 2017 Collection Act 2, this is one of the most distinctive bags of this season.

The Design

For the price of one, you will not receive one pouch from Chanel, but two. There is a small size and a large size; they’re both connected to each other by a short street-chic chain. One pouch is colored in black, the other one in white. Both are crafted in chevron quilting, but in multicolor shade (some brands calls this color oil-slick). This multicolor is also embellished on the sides.

Chanel made these pouches urban-chic, so that you can carry it downtown or at the high street. And just like the famous O Case, this bag is refined with the signature CC logo on the top front. The white and black chevron part are built from lambskin, then PVC has been added for the multicolor touch.

The Interior

These pouches open with a zipper. The interior space is limited, you will only be able to store your most important essentials.

The Sizes And Prices

Style code A81157, measuring 10.4’ x 15.2’ x 0.7’ inches, priced at $2725 USD, $3925 CAD, €2815 euro, £2550 GBP, $4580 SGD, $23400 HKD, 14160 MYR, ¥362880 JPY via Chanel boutiques.

‘BARBARELLA’: 1960S SCI-FI CHIC

The 1968 movie ‘Barbarella’ became known as not only one of Jane Fonda’s most memorable roles, but also the pinnacle of sexy sci-fi costuming. Fonda took on the titular role of Barbarella–a futuristic astronaut in the year 40,000 who is tasked with stopping the evil Durand Durand. Directed by her husband at the time, Roger Vadim, Fonda wears sexy outfits for much of the movie. Despite being a critical and commercial failure at the time of its release, the film has gone on to become a cult classic.

Jane Fonda’s costumes for the film were the work of Jacques Fonteray and fashion designer Paco Rabanne. Fonteray would later work on films such as ‘Moon Raker’ and ‘The Party’ while Rabanne’s fashion forward designs became renowned for their bold details. Influenced by armor as well as the 1960s women’s liberation movement, quite a few of the designs included nontraditional materials.

For example, a green leotard adorned with chain-linked rhodoid plastic fringing is one of the more memorable looks from the film. The barely there costumes also helped elevate Jane Fonda to sex symbol status. And who could forget her bombshell hair? As Barbarella, Jane wore a blonde bouffant hairstyle that was perfectly teased. Take a look at some of these 1960’s space age looks below.
