What is this we’re seeing? Another reversible available in the market? Well, just so you know, Prada ain’t the type to be left behind – they’ve come up with their own version of the reversible tote as well…in Nappa leather, no less. And we are quite impressed, alright. So, do you want to have your very own piece? We’ll try to convince you even more.

This piece is a soft reversible tote with double handles – perfect for giving you ease in carrying all of your essentials. It is also adorned with steel hardware and metal lettering logo (a testament of the bag’s quality), which gives it a beautiful shine. It even gets better because it has a pocket with zipper closure – who says you can’t have it all with a reversible? Life just got better.

The main side comes in black, but you can choose from four equally beautiful colors for the flip side (Lily-of-the-Valley White, Agave, Anise and Astral). You can get your very own Soft Reversible Nappa Leather Tote for $1,590 USD or €1,250 EUR via Prada e-store.

Other Brands

Prada-Spring-Summer-2016-Runway-Bag-Collection-29

Welcome to Part 2 of Prada Spring Summer 2016 Bag Collection. In this article, we want to pay attention to two gorgeous tote bags.

Because this collection has not yet been released (we need to wait until next year), so we do not know the names or prices yet. However, these images give us a glance of what to expect. So what’s in next year?

Large buckle-handles crafted on a modern boxy bag. The strap is white while the bag is green. Prada Milano is gorgeously crafted on the front, but notice the closure and the silver metal embellishment in the center. It’s modern and elegant. Would you bet your credit card on it? This bag also comes in black with yellow strap.

The second bag that grabbed our attention is the minimalistic Prada Saffiano Tote Bag. As you might have already guessed, it will be available not only white, but also black and red…and we belief even more colors. But the design from the exterior is looks really minimal, but chic and stunning. The sides are refined in green. It’s like the futuristic-simple version of the famous Prada Saffiano Lux Tote Bag.

So what do you think?

For Love & Lemons Holiday 2015 Lookbook: Golden Hour Getaway

Hermes

“Golden Hour Getaway” perfectly sums up the For Love & Lemons holiday 2015 lookbook, so the brand couldn’t have chosen a better title. The hauntingly lovely Siberian model Vika Falileeva sported the newest looks, perfectly embodying the target ‘70s vibe the brand wished to portray.

For Love & Lemons Holiday 2015 Lookbook

For Love & Lemons really dug deep into the ‘70s for their new looks, and didn’t stop with the garments, but ran full-on with the styling as well. Some of the garments are a breath of fresh air, with their nod to the culture and fashion, while the hair and accessorizing seems to be pulled straight from the fashion era and stuck on a modern woman. This transition didn’t quite work, and seemed to lack the bridge that would have connected Seventies and modern day fashion trends.

There are some great things being one with the dresses, however. The brand stayed true to their holiday getaway theme, as many of their garments are perfect for a cozy get-together or holiday party. And, of course, the lovely Vika breathed life into the dresses. This addition of her unique on-camera personality added a new dimension to the lookbook.

The For Love & Lemons holiday 2015 dresses are distinctly feminine, as can be expected with the Seventies inspiration, making for an interesting holiday collection. When you think of free-flowing dresses, you’re often inclined to think of the warm, breezy months, but For Love & Lemons has reinvented that idea and gone outside the box to create these light and airy garments for the cold months.

The vast use of prints and colors is the most striking aspect about this simple lookbook. The fabrics even appeared luxe at times, with the perfectly heavy appearance and crisp prints. The white lace dress is one of the most appealing pieces featured, because it portrays the youth and spirit the collection is trying to achieve. But that could just as easily be said about the other dresses in the collection. There is no real misstep with the dresses, and for that we can appreciate the work put into the portrayal. That, along with the casting of Vika Falileeva, was the ultimate saving grace of this lookbook as a whole.

The footwear shown in the photoshoot is hit or miss in this case. The boots were spot on for the time of the year, but the incorporation of socks and sandals erred on the side of cliché. This is a look that doesn’t have much ground in the fashion industry, as it’s a look that can’t be taken too seriously. There’s a childish quality that’s a step below youthful and into the adolescent realm. It’s clear the designers had a vision and a set goal in mind, but the execution could have been taken to a more mature level. This would have helped maintain a level where the line could have been taken a bit more seriously.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore: The End Of An Era?

Louis Vuitton

Widely reported online with the same fervour as the coming of the apocalypse was news that broke on WWD that Louis Vuitton was discontinuing theMonogram Multicolore collection, one of the last vestiges of the previous creative director Marc Jacobs that came about as part of a collaboration with celebrated artist Takashi Murakami.

Available in two colours (or rather, two different base colours decorated with Vuitton’s signature monogram in every colour under the rainbow and then some), it’s a print that’s brash, fun and loud, and some have speculated that given current creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere’s new aesthetic for the luxury house, this print might also have been too much for his taste.

Slated to be gone by end July, I did some checking of my own (and by checking, I mean
mean it’s 50% from sources who can’t be named and 50% from my plastic snow globe aka the crystal ball) and have come up with a slightly different ending. Whilst it is true that the Monogram Multicolore line will no longer be available in Europe or the US, the collection will still be made available to the rest of us in Asia.

In other words, you’ll still find the bags and the SLGs like the Sarah Wallet (SGD1210) and Zippy Wallet (SGD1290, shown above) in the interim and until the luxury house decides otherwise. Because in fashion, nothing does actually last forever, so consider this your second chance.

Now excuse me, I need to go hunt down the Monogram Multicolore Zippy Coin Purse in
Black before it’s really, really gone.
