Reformation Welcomes Spring With Delicate Flowers

Leave it to the tough, eco-friendly brand Reformation to make a collection of lovely floral pieces have a biting edge come through with its title. “Delicate f*cking flowers” (yes, the asterisk is part of their title, too!) was the name chosen for the Reformation spring 2016 florals collection, which was photographed by Pictoresq over in Paris. The fun thing about this creative team is that it is those within the team that model for the photoshoots. Reformation went with it, and created a story around their created characters Jan Scott, an artist, and Angèle, a student of French literature. These two stylish women are “on the hunt for flowers,” according to the collection’s page, and from the looks of their clothes I’d say they found them!

Reformation Spring 2016 Florals Collection

Reformation seemed to have a new floral fabric for each look, so the only cohesion in that regard was that most pieces were fully floral. The only break from the floral pattern was to add in a couple of solid basics, either in creamy pastels, black, or slightly deeper shades of colors easy to associate with flowers. Aside from the few pieces that conformed to that, the floral pieces come in every silhouette you’ll need for your summer wardrobe, namely tops and dresses.

The dresses Reformation presented were often lovely and quite elegant, despite being more casual in nature. Many of the dresses are flowing and airy, much as could be expected with floral dresses, while others were given more structure in the skirt. Whatever length or style you’re looking for, there’s a good chance the brand has you covered. Or if you want a particular floral pattern, the wide variety of fabrics in this line will likely have exactly what you want. And if not, you’ll at the very least find another equally as amazing print.

A hydrangea pattern was printed on a sheer georgette fabric, and featured on a semi-sheer black dress. It has a classic beauty to it, much like others in the line. One of the most classic and common floral prints, a pink floral on a creamy white came in a stunningly simple crepe tank top. Its deep bust line makes it a great choice for a layering piece, and can be styled casually, professionally, or more formally, so you can’t go wrong with a purchase like that. The same pattern was also printed on a loose-fitting summery dress, with a straight bust line and a tied, two-strap design for the top.

I could drone on forever about the different stunning pieces in this line, but getting right down to it, Reformation has created a line full of irresistible floral pieces for the season, and you can see that for yourself by scrolling through the collection feed. From elegant plunging necklines to classically lovely for dresses, simple and versatile for tops, and a variety of pants and jumpsuits, Reformation has created a way for you to stay eco-friendly while still looking just as fabulous (or even more so, I’d say in this case) than by shopping other less eco-friendly brands in the industry.

Other Brands

Fendi introduces their latest bag charms, the FendiRumi. FendiRumi consists of two new monsters made of mink fur with kiddasia crests and fox hair, Piro-Chan and Bug-Kun. First seen during the Fall/Winter 2016 runway show, the two appeared as mascots being guests on the show, and as bag charms on the collection’s handbags. Piro-Chan is the pink monster with yellow eyes with cystals and blue Fendi written on her body. Bug-Kun is the blue monster with yellow Fendi logo on his body, it has a similar look to the brand’s famous Bag Bugs monsters.

Fendi has taken its inspiration from Japan’s Kigurumi-mania. A combination of two Japanese words, “kiru” means to wear, while “nuigurumi” means stuffed toy. In Japan, they are performers wearing costumes during major events. FendiRumi has been a huge success following its appearances in the brand’s shows, events and store openings, which is why they were made into cute bag charms. The FendiRumi charms were made available for a limited time after the Fall/Winter 2016 show, but it will be available in Fendi boutiques this July.

1. Miu Miu Ballet Flats

These are a take on ballet flats, so perfect and feminine. They use a juxtaposition of leather and satin to play on the idea of the classic ballet flat. The satin ribbons lace up around the ankles to add a delicacy, but they are detachable so you can customize your balance between the soft and hard styles. These were worn on Miu Miu’s punk-inspired collection from spring 2016, in black or gingham.

The buckles now only need be a decorative aspect, and contribute to the classic gladiator appeal. This is a great casual shoe for your summer wardrobe, and is one style that is only increasing in popularity, especially for bohemian trends, which goes right along with Free People’s design aesthetic, which is where these sandals can be found. These lace-up sandals from ASOS are made of 100% leather, and the cords lacing up around the ankle become rather sporty. The laces are made long enough so you can play around with the length, so with this pair of sandals you might be able to wear them a few different ways. The cutouts make for an interesting visual, but are not so loud as to drown out the rest of your outfit. 8. Barely-There Lace-Ups

If there’s one thing Forever 21 knows how to do, it’s taking trending styles and making them simple and beautiful – and cheaper, of course! There’s not much to these lace-up sandals, and that’s just what we like about them. They’re interesting enough to make a statement without overpowering, and they are delicate in their simplicity, adding a subtle level of elegance, but the toe loop still allows for an extra ounce of support and stability. They are available in black and rust colors, and if you’re looking for a barely-there pair of sandals to wear with your favorite pair of denims or your fun bohemian dress, this is a great pair to consider.

9. Quirky Scalloped Lace-Ups

This pair of flats is another quirky set. The polyester shoes are made to look like leather, which makes them so much easier to care for already, and the pale blue only makes them more interesting. The scalloped edges and pointed toes make these a little less casual then they otherwise would be, but the possibilities tend to remain the same. You could wear this with denim or dresses, and it will still add a little push of quirky sophistication. All of this while still getting in the go-to lace-up design without being fully enclosed around your foot.

10. Strappy Leather Lace-Ups

This style of sandal from Free People is about as basic as you can get. Straps of leather are tied up around the ankle as well as over your toes to keep everything secure and comfortable. All of the bells and whistles of some of the other styles are fun and fabulous additions to your wardrobe, but something all you need is a little bit of simplicity to really round things out. And even still, you can add a bit of flair with the color, as these are available in a few fun colors alongside the staple brown, tan, and black; so really, it’s up to whatever you want in your wardrobe, while still getting the great basic appeal.

Okay ladies, ready…go!

Another new bag has arrived, so its time to activate your shopping mode. And it’s not just a regular handbag – it’s stunning, fresh (a complete new style) and the clasp, clasp and clasp.

There is a new quilting and it’s tiny, creating an x pattern. And as you can see, the color options are black or gold. In my opinion, both are beautiful – the gold will attract attention, but the black looks timeless.

Oh yes, it comes with an interwoven chain shoulder strap, which obvious is what we prefer, right ladies?

But what makes this bag so special is the clasp in the center. You see, we’re used to the CC clasp, but this one has a twist. The clasp is much bigger and it’s embellished like a plate. The same print on the body is on the clasp and the brand’s name (Chanel) is also marked on it. And on the bottom a 3D CC signature.

Wow, can you resist this?

We do not know the style code and sizes, but the price should be around €3300 euro.
