Chloe is taking arm candy design a step further with the Amy Shoulder Bag, a flap with attitude! If you’re looking for a bag that’s going to take your outfit onto a whole new level (with a piece that’s reliable and reasonably-priced), you know what to purchase next.

Measuring 17cm x 23.5cm x 5.5cm (H x W x D), this baby may seem like a not-so-spacious option, but guess again – it has more than enough room for your essentials. It comes with an adjustable leather shoulder strap and snap button closure, which keeps all of your personal effects in its place. It is adorned with gold colored metal hardware, which provides a beautiful contrast to the whole design. Inside, it has a front pocket under the front flap and a zip pocket. It’s perfect for organization!

Priced at $330 USD or €285 EUR, you can get your very own Amy Shoulder Bag via Luisa Via Roma.

Bottega Veneta Nappa Leather Bag with Intrecciato Detail: Nude Moments

Other Brands

I love the sweet whisper of color blush pink provides. Delicate yet powerful in its way and simple yet utterly sophisticated, the palest shade of pink – or the richest shade of nude, depending how you look at it – is as feminine as a color can get (without veering into Barbie territory).

Few brands know this as well as Bottega Veneta. Tomas Maier’s latest riff on intrecciato detailing is abstract, offbeat, and verging on edgy. I especially like the fact that the perfectly imperfect stripes showcase the fine weave so subtly, this tote almost makes you do a double take. Is it Bottega or not?! Credit the hue of the leather. But remember: Nude bags can be tricky. Make sure you have this one treated before you use it, and try to keep it far away from your dark indigo denims. Bottega Veneta nappa leather bag with intrecciato detail on Luisa via Roma for $4,400.

Pair with: Never underestimate the power of the pump. Offset a blush tote with Gianvito Rossi’s sexy shake-up of black suede, tan leather, and clear PVC.

Bad Girls Need Nice Things Too

There seems to be a relatively consistent image of what a successful woman should wear, from hair and makeup to clothes and shoes. While fitting this mold isn’t a bad thing, sometimes a girl just wants to branch out, toughen things up a little bit. Remind yourself that even though you’re a nice person and lovely to look at, you can still be tough. Send a few mixed messages with these pieces that are finely made and fine-tuned to add a little visual stimuli to your daily ladylike uniform.

Céline: Christmas 2015 Gift Guide

Other Brands

Yes, it’s November, which also means the countdown to 2016 has started, along with everything great that’s associated with the end of the year, including the New Year countdown, huge epicurean feasts and of course, Christmas!

And with Christmas comes the season of gift giving, be it for your loved ones or for yourself. Or both, which is what I do anyway. First get something nice for everyone that matters, then get something even nicer for yourself for even putting that aforementioned list together, shopping for it and then making sure everything is beautifully wrapped before it is given away. No mean feat if you ask me.

With that comes the first of my gift guides, which you’ll be seeing more and more of as the season nears (PR peeps, if you are reading this, please start sending out your seasonal gift guides). First up? Céline, of course, one of the few designer brands that come in white boxes you can’t go wrong with.

Which brings us to the Céline Classic (SGD5000, shown above), one of the first bags released by Creative Director Phoebe Philo when she joined the French luxury house in 2008. Still loved and much sought after till this day, the one that’s now available in Singapore comes in burgundy box calfskin with gold hardware, a sight for sore eyes, guaranteed to drop the receiver’s jaw and of course, great for upcoming festivities.

For those ranked a tad lower on the gift-giving list but no less important, might I suggest the Céline Trapeze, another stunner of a bag still on many a wish list. Priced at SGD3600, you can pick up this multicolour beauty in Black/Blue/White that’s also part of Céline’s early spring collection.

Last but not least, SLGs (or small leather goods for those of you not attuned into bagspeak). From top to bottom we’ve got a small zipped wallet (SGD680), the long calf pocket wallet (SGD1050), and my favourite, the drummed calf large flap wallet (SGD950), all useful, all appropriately-hued for the season. And because this is just a tiny bit of what’s available now in Singapore, I would advise to you head down personally to Celine boutiques at Marina Bay Sands or Ngee Ann City to shop to your heart’s content. For your loved ones, of course.
